The varietes of the olives tree grown in Abruzzo are ancient and all have peculiar characteristics.
Cascina Bruna grows about 1000 olive trees of 5 different cultivars: Leccino, Dritta, Coratina, Leccio del Corno, Intosso and Castiglionese.
These olives trees have been planted in different years, ranging between 40 years to one year.
Our oils sink their roots in different but always Mediterranean soils. The Leccino and Dritta are both native varieties of the territory of Pescara, the Intosso and Castiglionese also both belongs to the territories of Teramo while Leccio del Corno has Tuscan origins and the Coratina comes from the province of Bari.
